Community Corrections Board
Mission
The Community Corrections Board is appointed by and acts in behalf of the Mesa County Board of Commissioners. The purpose of the Community Corrections Board is to oversee and act in an advisory capacity for a variety of correctional services that work to the well-being of the citizens of Mesa County. Such correctional services might include and are not limited to the following:
- Community Corrections Residential Center
- Juvenile Placement In-services
- Intensive Supervision Probation
- Adult and Juvenile Detention Programs
- Probation/Parole
- Community Alternative Service Program
- Drug/Alcohol evaluation and Diagnosis
- Pre-Trial Services
- Day Reporting Program
The Community Corrections Board is to provide consultation and an advisory service in correctional matters for local, regional, state and federal interests as it relates to the areas above.
Criminal Justice Advisory Board Mission Statement
The mission of the Criminal Justice Advisory Board (CJAB) is:
To advise and make recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners and the Criminal Justice Community on criminal justice issues in an effort to inform the public and improve the effectiveness of the system while facilitating communication among the key players.
CJAB will do this by acting in response to requests to address problems and when appropriate will develop programs and evaluate them as necessary.
The Executive Committee of CJAB will narrow the focus of specific problems, appoint committees as necessary and will present specific items to the full Board to consider, in response to or anticipation of criminal justice problems.
